Chart sheet
You can only edit certain areas on this sheet. This to prevent you from changing things unknowingly.
Following areas can be changed -
Following areas can be changed -
- Duration: Enter number of days here, used to display chart for these many number of days. E.g. If we enter 22 days = 1 month (trading days) is displayed in the chart, 252 days = 1 year is displayed in the chart.
- Start: This is linked with the scroll bar at the top of the chart and typically you wont change this. If you move the scroll bar at the top the start position number in this cell changes showing at what day the chart display starts. Lets say chart is displaying 2007 year. Now to see 2002 chart you can either move the scroll bar to left or type a lower number in this cell. No need to worry about this cell as long as you use scroll bar.
- Nifty: Enter "yes" here so that chart will display Nifty Index (ideally you would want to display only 1 Index and not both to keep it simple).
- BSE: Enter "yes" here so that chart will display BSE Sensex Index (ideally you would want to display only 1 Index and not both to keep it simple).
- Nifty/BSE MA: MA stands for simple moving average, you can enter the number of days in this area and a simple moving average will be plotted on that Nifty or BSE Index depending on which one is chosen to be displayed on the Chart.
- McClellan Summation Index EMA1 & EMA2: Both values are required to plot the chart. This is the 2nd Chart below the Index Chart (top chart). Change the values and see how the chart changes. It is best to have a difference of 20 between EMA1 & EMA2, also EMA1 is less than EMA2.
- McClellan Summation Index EMA / MA: EMA stands for exponential moving average and MA stands for simple moving average, you can enter the number of days in this area and exponential/simple moving average will be plotted on McClellan Summation Index in the 2nd Char.
